my humps
Have I lately mentioned the phenomenon known as my game? Its epic scope, its savage beauty? The sheer number of top-quality gametes I'm daily swatting away like baseballs at a batting cage?

A gust of wind blew my skirt up as I exited the subway this afternoon. I'm pretty sure it was the microsecond of exposed olive-dinge undies that induced this dude to follow me from the subway to the drugstore to the coffee shop and sweep me off my feet:

My guess at the aborted Question 14: "Do you like one light stand?"

For someone who supposedly doesn't speak English too well, he descends quite gracefully from "kind of cute in a fourth-grade kinda way" to "super super creepy."

People are weird; I'm glad I'm not people.

I was once on a train, having spent a hot summer day stomping around a city I didn't know, looking for a place to live (I was about to move cities for a new job). I was hot and sweaty and dusty and grumpy, and I'm not a model to start with, so I was not exactly yer average vision of loveliness. So I was very bemused when I looked up from the book I was reading to find that a note had been deposited on the table in front of me by an unknown hand. It was addressed to "The Lovely Lady" (but I chose to assume that meant me, despite evidence to the contrary, because I was surrounded by men) and invited me to phone the number given and meet up with someone who signed themselves only as "K", to arrange a date. It added "Whsat have you got to lose?", to which the obvious answer was "Well, it kind of depends whether you're an axe-weilding psycho, doesn't it?".

Anyway, I have no idea why I'm telling you this long and pointless story; my main point is, who _actually_ thinks that, past the age of about 12, writing a note to a stranger is a really good way of picking up chicks? Does this _ever_ work?

Love that he placed the "what's your name" question AFTER he had compiled this extensive getting to know you list. And with an asterisk to boot. Where did he write down the questions? In the coffee shop...after he had followed you. Certainly not en route.

I love the combination of humility and bravado. It's also somewhat like that MTV music awards ad from ages ago when the goth girl says, "Posh Spice...I hate you, I hate you, I love you, I hate you!"

As someone who has had this happen, and knowing how creepy and painfully awkward it is, I am shocked that a little part of me still goes "Oh, but that's so cute." But then, I am a known soft touch when it comes to freaking losers.

Surely 'what's your name' counts as a question, unless it's a song title in which case I'm having trouble singing this to Lynyrd Skynyrd.
