movie time and boast post
The song is "Can't Change My Style" by the Drags. Hope you like it!

"Seoul Style."

PS Last time it was movie time, somebody left a comment like, "I thought this was just some random band video and wasn't going to watch it." Yeah, I never watch random band videos on blogs either. But this here movie, I made it, and it's only 1:30 long so it's not much of a time investment.

PPS I struck a deal with the devil: for every two months I spend sleeping on a box spring, I will receive one job shooting on location in Mauritius. Awesome! Unless somebody throws acid in my face or my tits fall off, I'm going at the beginning of May.

PPPS One last little thing before I hit the box spring. I had a fab banchan this evening: chilled shredded wet seaweed. Everyone at the table went nuts for this apparently rare presence on the banchan stage and we had a synchronized brontosaurus moment as we all took our first bite then sucked the dripping tail of plant matter into our maws. Pond pose.

You movie was sweet and funny. Mauritius sounds great - all I know of it is related to dead birds, so I hope you'll be able to post from there!

Can I ask about the black contraption both you and that fellow were riding...Is that a horse riding game or an exercise machine made to strengthen the pelvic thrust?

Haha, I thought I was the only one who thought of brontosauruses (brontosauri?) when eating soggy leafy food stuffs! Maybe I saw Jurassic Park a few too many times in my youth.

Love the video as usual! I'm visiting HK at the moment (going back to Auckland, NZ in a week) and your face is still *everywhere* in the Chow Sang Sang shops, though I see they've now got Zhang Ziyi hawking their 'loving hearts' collection at MTR billboards...

Anyway, I'm looking forward to your next book, which I hope will include a DVD as well. =)

Could prove a deadly combo...

Wonderful! I love the lady's outfit at the beginning. I realize it's probably a parking attendants' uniform, but it has style.

And of course, the mechanical saddle contraption is brilliant.

if you liked the seaweed banchan, i hope you've been to sanchon in insadong. it's a bit touristy but the food - all vegetarian, pseudo buddhist monk fare (real monks don't eat red pepper) - is soooo good and the variety is mindblowing. i never knew there were so many green things to eat. the english version of their site isn't working but there is a map: http://www.sanchon.com/sanchon/map.html.
