I made a new movie! As with "Work", my thrilling cinematic debut, the camera microphone doesn't work. The soundtrack to this one is "On the Road Again" by Canned Heat.
(Note, to clarify the "plot": Guangzhou, China's third most-populous city, is about two hours away from Hong Kong by train. In the movie, I try to take a train from Guangzhou to Shenzhen, which is separated from Hong Kong by only an electric fence and a political boundary. If I had made it to Shenzhen, it would have been an easy train ride home.)
Confidential to Hong Kongers: The lost and found system here is world-famous, so it's not totally impossible that I might find my coat by posting this: I lost my coat. I don't know where or when. It's from b+ab, black, knee-length, with a green lining. Leave a comment if you found it or have seen it sitting in a lost-and-found somewhere!

I'm so glad to see that your career has blossomed so much. You're the only contestant in Top Model history that I ever respected. :)

you're the leni riefenstahl of hong kong
and i suggest that when the modeling becomes tiresome you get yourcoatless self to los angeles and begin kicking penny marshall's ass as
filmmaker-lady of the future
ps. seriously, that was a ridiculously engaging 2 minutes and however many seconds. more of that, please
pps. the coat is here in our apartment. we're putting it up on ebay any second.

Re: you're the leni riefenstahl of hong kong
agreed, agreed, agreed. I especially loved that you shot two angles of "eating at McD's" and interspersed them in the final edit. Tiny detail, maximum effect. How did you get the panning-in-a-circle shots so impossibly smooth? I kept imagining you standing on a lazy susan while someone down below turned it.
Fucking brilliant, girlie.

Re: the video doesn't work
Utube videos download slowly. When the video starts, hit "pause" and then wait for the red line to get to the end. After that, when you hit "play," it will run all the way to the end.Anonymous

Cool video! u r so cute...at least RMB is worth more than HKD these days...January 29 2007, 15:13:34 UTC 5 years ago
OMG
You look so hot in that video!.(especially the moment you had burger) I wish I could go out with a girl just like you.I went to hong kong on christmas eve last year with my friend. I kinda hoped to see you somehow in the street. Well, obviously you weren't there.
I wonder how long are you gonna stay in hong kong. Just curious
P.S: The last note (about your lost coat) was cute .

I LOVE THAT!
Elyse,I LOVE YOUR VIDEO SO MUCH!!!!!!
It's much much better than taking a pic. haha...but I bet it must cost you much time to do that. You know what, it worths! you're so funny when you turn the camera ''around'' yourself...I can see you can't help laughing. And I love the last scene....is that real? the money..... if it's real...I hope you're safe when you returning to HK. It's so dangerous to take so much cash with you. The ''steal rate'' in China and Shenzhen is so high! (I have seen one,,when I'm walking...the thief use the fool like clip to clip the money from the pocket.)
I know why there were sosososos many people waiting the train, as the trains are all delayed. I had this when I went to Guangzhou during Christmas holiday. Both trains ( for the ''round trip'') were all delayed for more than a hour! I was so furious...........and I did what you did...went to eat something.....
P.S. You take the make up with you during the trip to HK>? and you buy the ticket by yourself???? if so, how can you do that...I don't think they can understand you! And....probably, you can't find your coat...I'm sorry......

tall
you seem a lot taller than the average Guangzhouer, judging from the overview shots. I never realised how it must look when you're in a crowd over there. must be nice, though, having a view like that.Anonymous
